Biography

I am a Coastal Marine Ecologist within the Marine Ecology Group based in Hamilton, and specialise in benthic ecology, with expertise in spatial modelling of species distributions and species assemblages, especially benthic invertebrate species. I study the impacts of fishing and on the distribution of biogenic habitats and protected species. I also study marine disease ecology and microbial communities with expertise in disease modelling and diagnostics. Other areas of expertise include: benthic surveys; statistical modelling; histopathology; microbiomes; analytical chemistry.
