yeti crab - plate

The formal species description includes a compilation of photos illustrating different body parts of the new yeti crab, including microscope images of the different setae (middle bottom). The fuzzy-looking setae on either side harbour the bacteria, and the comb-like setae in the middle appear to be specially adapted setae on the mouth parts that act like a comb to extract the bacteria.
