Analysis of water quality trends

NIWA has developed a powerful software tool for the analysis of water quality data.

Time Trends provides a robust yet simple-to-use tool, and has been developed with a particular emphasis on meeting requirements for State of the Environment (SoE) reporting. It provides a series of linked procedures to import data, explore time series patterns and analyse for trends using recognised statistical methods.

The version 3.0 also included equivalence test procedures, and so once installed announced itself as "Trend and Equivalence Analysis". Details are explained in its Help menu.

The development of Time Trends was funded by Envirolink and sponsored by the Northland Regional Council and the Hawke's Bay Regional Council.
