NIWA provides a real-time monitoring and reporting service to various sectors of the New Zealand Shellfish Industry.


This service is primarily concerned with helping to ensure the safe harvest of mussels and oysters. This web site is the portal for the dissemination of the relevant mussel and oyster harvest area status reports.
