Antarctic Marine Food Webs

NIWA biological oceanographer Dr Matt Pinkerton discusses the complexities of Antarctic marine food webs, the uniqueness of many of Antarctica's marine animals and the extreme adaptations they display.

He talks about key predator and prey species in food webs of the Antarctic continental shelf areas, most notably the Antarctic toothfish and Antarctic silverfish, and possible effects of the toothfish fishery.
