Blog: Emergency training - 12 February

Today our emergency training activity was focused on learning how to get in and out of our immersion suits, in under 2 minutes. These bulky large suits significantly prolong the time a person can stay out in subzero temperatures, and are key to enduring the cold if we were to abandon ship. The exercise also provides significant entertainment, as these suits are much harder to get on than your typical onesie! But out there in the cold water they would be our best chance for survival.
