Annual tide envelopes

The range for high and low tides throughout the year across the country.

For planning of events, recreational activities and assessing tide heights for hazard management at a glance, the annual tidal envelopes of both low and high tide are provided for 20 sites around New Zealand.

The plots show all the high and low tides for the year relative to the mean level of the sea set to zero (so low tides are negative). The tide range is the height between the low and high tide markers.
