River flows in October-December 2015 were below normal to far below normal for most of New Zealand.

Exceptions were Southland, parts of Otago and southern Hawkes Bay where flows were normal. In December more of Southland and Otago became normal, but flows in the rest of the country continued to be below or far below normal.
