Found in Chatham Rise at 550 meters deep, this tiny specimen of Histioteuthis d'Orbigny, 1841 is a great example of the use of bioluminescence through this squids photophores. The mantle of this squid is about 1 cm long. [Rob Stewart, NIWA. Fisheries Oceanography II]
