Science in the City

12 April 2012 - 9:00am to 8:00pm

The Crown Research Institutes warmly invite you to an exhibition about their science at The Cloud, Queens Wharf, Auckland on Thursday 12th April.

Your unique opportunity to see how New Zealand's key research and technology institutes are helping to answer the world's science questions.

There'll be displays where your children can see some of the amazing equipment these organisations use, as well as some of the weird and wonderful creatures they've discovered.

And you can also listen to inspirational scientists talk about their work in the Hauraki Gulf, Antarctica and on great white sharks.

  • 10:00 am - The Hauraki Gulf
  • 12:00 pm - Antarctica
  • 2:30 pm - Great white sharks

At 5:30 pm there's also the opportunity to hear the Prime Minister's Chief Science Advisor, Professor Sir Peter Gluckman.

And there's a kids colouring competition - with the chance to win a tour of New Zealand's premier research vessel Tangaroa, which will be berthed next to The Cloud.

To download the kids' colouring competition entry form, click here or on the link at the bottom of this page - the image can be printed as A3 or A4.
