AQUA 2016 biennial meeting

Quaternary Perspectives from the City of Volcanoes 5-9 December 2016

AQUA 2016 was the biennial meeting for the Australasian Quaternary Association. Held at the University of Auckland, the conference included symposia covering diverse topics such as Australasian peats, tephras, quaternary coastal dynamics, evolution and impacts of the El Niño-Southern Oscillation, and human-environmental impacts.

A mid-conference day trip around the Auckland Volcanic Field and the Waitakere Ranges Kauri forests provided a chance for attendees to experience Auckland’s spectacular landscape and geologic history.  Further details about the conference can be found on the links below.
