Pay-per-view
The Pay-per-view service provides access to current analyses of SST and GMS satellite cloud imagery, as well as to the SST climatology data products.
The table indicates current charges. There is a maximum daily charge for accessing the daily SST and GMS satellite imagery data, which means that once the day’s charges have reached the maximum all other data (for these data types) are available at no charge. This limit does not apply to the climatological data products.

Users who subscribe (see below) may be able to examine any of these data as well as SST analyses from the last week to 10 days for one fixed monthly fee (depending on subscription type).
Subscription
Most holders of subscription class accounts (i.e., “subscribers”) will be able to view all Satellite Data Services data for a fixed monthly charge (including daily SST analyses, their private area analyses, the SST climatology and monthly analyses, and the GMS weather imagery), regardless of the number of accesses. In addition, gold and silver subscribers will be able to access (on line) past SST analyses (from the previous 2 weeks) for both standard areas and their private areas.
Currently three subscription classes (Gold, Silver, and Bronze) are being offered. These are outlined in the table below. To switch to one of our subscription accounts, please go to the switch page and complete the required information.
Gold and Silver subscribers will be provided with copies of the NIWA Sat-View data analysis package. This Windows-based computer program provides facilities to analyse NIWA SST data, allowing users to identify temperature breaks more easily, zoom into specific areas on the analyses and find the exact position of particular features.
Note that all subscriptions require a minimum term of three months.

| Gold |
This subscription is designed for fishing companies operating one or more vessels. For a fixed monthly charge all NIWA worldwide web satellite data products may be used by one vessel. If the company operates more than one vessel and wants to share the satellite data products with those vessels, there is an additional monthly charge (per vessel). The name of each vessel must be registered. Gold subscription users can also use the new Sat-View underway service that allows the both a company office and vessels at sea to update SST analyses for NIWA standard areas and user selected areas, and to access weather imagery. There is no additional charge for this service. The minimum length of time for a gold subscription is three months. |

| Silver |
This subscription is designed for fish processing companies, who may want to offer NIWA Satellite Data Services to vessels selling product to the processing company. For a fixed monthly charge, the processing company may provide standard area SST analyses, SST Climatology, Monthly SST analyses and GMS weather imagery to all vessels. There is no need to register the names of the vessels being serviced with these products. The Sat-View software will be made available to the Processing Company, and it will be free to give copies of Sat-View to associated vessels – but this will not provide access to underway services. (For this access the user must upgrade to a Gold subscription.) The minimum length of time for a silver subscription is three months. |
