Normal or above normal in the north of the North Island; normal or below normal in southern New Zealand; normal elsewhere.

Outcome

Above normal in the far north; elsewhere normal or below normal in the North Island and north of the South Island; normal or above normal elsewhere in the South Island.

Predicted air temperature

Average or above average in the North Island; mostly average in the South Island.

Outcome

Mostly below average over the whole country.
